For instalment 17, Botanica Records founder Max Foley Joins The Bloc with his incredible EP 'Raverdise'.
Fresh from releases with Ushuaia Music and Avaken, the Italian based artist keeps the momentum going with his diverse two-track EP entitled Raverdise. Also boasting recent releases on his label Botanica and DSR, Max has found his unique sweet spot, ranging between the melodic and that driving Techno energy. We're a fan!
The title cut ‘Raverdise’ definitely carries Max's sound, with an energetic and musical storyboard of low and dark swells, strings and beautifully crafted arpeggiation and stabs. The drop is set to encourage spinal chills, we are certain. His second track entitled 'Acid Stage' complements the EP perfectly. There’s a lot of unique things happening here, starting with a rich, organic chord progression, leading with a persistent acid line draped in plenty of resonance.
From London, Charlie Sparks is certainly making waves. For Bloc17, we are delighted to have the man himself join the ranks with his take on Raverdise. A mountainous rolling bassline anchors the piece, while drums coupled with hoover stabs come in waves. Also from London, and a regular partner to Max's work is Jeremy Wahab with his fantastic interpretation of Acid Stage. With all of its sonic delights, his remix is a fitting end to a great four-track showcase. Don’t miss it.
